Best Toys for 2 Year Olds
Two year olds are some of the most fun children to watch – they are busy discovering every thing!
24 months have gone by and much has happened in that big brain of theirs. We’ve put together our favorite list of best toys for 2 year olds!
Our daughter turned two and was super independent at that stage. She wanted to do everything herself (and still does!), but also enjoys learning and experiencing new things.
Sharing was a big obstacle to overcome at this age. Every time we go to a friend’s party and open gifts, many of the toddlers at this stage don’t understand that the gifts are not for them 🙂
“Mine!” was heard several times during these parties!
Imagination also starts to really become big at this age.
We bought our daughter a Step 2 playhouse to keep in our bonus room for her birthday, and she LOVES it.
She loves playing house, ringing the doorbell, cooking and hiding in it. It was a fantastic purchase.
Another important item? Reading.
A nurse recently told me at a friend’s birth that parents who read to their children every night know approximately 20,000 more words than children whose parents do not read to them.
And it’s extremely difficult for those kids to catch up. Definitely something to think about.
Here some things to consider when purchasing the best toys for a 24 month old:
